Gift Aid
Gift Aid adds 25% to every eligible donation. It is money from HMRC for your charity, not money a donor gave to a platform. JustGiving and Enthuse each take 5% of it. CAF Donate charges its 4% on the donation and the Gift Aid together. We take none.
On a £100 donation, Gift Aid is worth £25. A 5% fee takes £1.25 of it. On KindLink that £25 arrives whole, which is why we come out ahead of JustGiving and Enthuse at every donation size.
Gift Aid is a UK scheme, and the international platforms mostly leave you to file it yourself or do not support it at all. It is worth more than every fee on this page put together.
Raise £50,000 a year in Gift Aid‑eligible donations, at an average gift of £100, and you keep around £950 more with us than with JustGiving.
Regular giving
Regular gifts are your most valuable income. Some platforms charge a percentage with no ceiling, so the bigger the gift, the more they take. We charge 1.25%, and never more than £4.

The cost of collecting a £20 monthly gift for a year.
On a £1,000 gift, our cap keeps the charge at £4. CAF Donate's uncapped 2% would take £20. The bigger the gift, the bigger the gap.
Setting up a mandate is free, and there is nothing to pay for the mandate itself. The 1.25% on each gift is the only cost, for as long as the gift runs.
US and global platforms
Most US fundraising platforms take a percentage of every gift and then add the card fee on top. KindLink takes nothing. The only deduction is the card fee, passed on at cost.

Donorbox takes 2.95% of every donation, Fundraise Up and Donately 4%, Funraise 5%, GlobalGiving 5% to 12%. Bloomerang and Blackbaud charge a licence instead, then a card rate of 3% or more. KindLink takes nothing from the donation and has no licence.
The gap to the nearest per-donation platform is $2.15 on a $100 gift, and it widens with every percentage point they charge. Against the subscription CRMs the gap looks smaller per gift, until the licence is counted.
The percentage fees compound. The bigger the gift, the more the other platforms take.

Subscriptions
Everything on this page applies on the free plan, and most charities never need more than that. The paid plans exist for larger organisations that want extras such as Direct Debit, automated Gift Aid or a donation form on their own website. You can see all features side by side. They add features. They never change what a donation costs you.

No, on any plan. The only thing taken out is the payment fee itself, from 1.4% + 15p on UK cards or 1.25% capped at £4 on Direct Debit. None of that comes to us, and neither does any of your Gift Aid.
Yes, and it stays free. There is no trial clock and no donation limit. The CRM, fundraising pages, donations, beneficiary records, volunteers and project reporting are all free for registered charities, nonprofits and CICs. We make our money from paid plans and from the companies who run their giving on KindLink.
Registered charities, nonprofits and CICs. Sign up with your charity number, and once we have checked it you are on the free plan for good. No size limit, no income threshold, no cap on records.
Yes, on the Expert plan. UK Direct Debit costs 1.25% per payment, capped at £4, and there is no setup fee for the mandate. In most cases that works out cheaper than CAF Donate or your own GoCardless account.
Any time. There is no contract, no notice period and no cancellation fee. Every payment receipt we send you has a cancellation link in it, or just email us and we will sort it out. Cancel a paid plan and you drop back to the free one, with all your records intact.

Bloomerang and Blackbaud figures exclude their CRM licence, and Blackbaud publishes no Gift Aid fee. Where a provider does not publish a card rate, only its platform fee has been deducted, so its figure is the most a charity could receive.
